Shallow water pipe lay barge

Stingray is the first shallow water pipe lay barge in the Van Oord fleet of vessels. The barge is designed in accordance with the highest quality and safety standards in the offshore oil and gas industry, and equipped with state-of-the-art machinery to install pipelines from 6 to 60 inches in diameter.

Thanks to Stingray, we can offer a wide range of services in a complete one-stop shop package for shallow water oil and gas developments, activities that are completely in line with our goal of reinforcing our position as an Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) contractor.

How does it work?

The prime focus for Stingray is S-lay pipe-lay works. When performing S-lay pipeline installation, joints of pipe are welded into a pipe string on board the vessel.
