 | Van Oord has concentrated its expertise in offshore wind energy in Offshore Wind Projects (OWP).In 2008, we concluded an agreement with Evelop, part of Econcern, to build four wind farms along the Belgian and German coasts. Van Oord will act as the management contractor for these projects. The contract covers the foundations and the electricity supply to the wind turbines. Altogether, the wind farms will generate a maximum output of 1500 megawatts, enough to supply 1.5 million households with clean energy. |
