Supervisors frequently organise 'Toolbox talks' on our projects.Toolbox talks are short meetings or presentations focusing on a specific working method, safety rule or job planning. Van Oord organises Toolbox talks when new activities are being undertaken on projects and when working methods are altered, for example. As a rule, the talks are held even if there are no changes to working methods or activities. The meetings/presentations are called Toolbox talks because they are organised on the job, right before work begins: in other words, close to the toolbox. |
