Traineeship description
Our technical traineeship is an excellent stepping stone in your career and an ideal chance to get to know various aspects of the marine contracting, dredging and offshore sector in a short space of time. By working in various departments and on projects both in the Netherlands and abroad, you will get to know Van Oord, your colleagues and our projects. For example, you will become familiar with the production process on board a trailing suction hopper dredger, cutter suction dredger or side stone dumping vessel and spend a few weeks working on an international project site. After finalizing your traineeship you will work on our international projects, at our Technical Department or our Estimating and Engineering department.
What we want
You are a technical graduate (or near-graduate) of a civil engineering, mechanical engineering, technical business administration or a comparable higher professional or university programme and have a maximum of three years work experience. You are flexible and prepared to work abroad. Furthermore you have strong analytical skills, you are eager to take on a management position and you speak fluent English.
