Princess Máxima to christen trailing suction hopper dredger

On Friday 24 April 2009, H.R.H. Princess Máxima of the Netherlands will officiate at the christening and launch of trailing suction hopper dredger Vox Máxima. Van Oord has the vessel built at the IHC Merwede yard in Kinderdijk, the Netherlands.

It will be launched immediately after the christening ceremony and then docked along the quay for further final construction. The vessel will be commissioned in late 2009 and deployed on major dredging projects worldwide.
