Singapore oil terminal ATB has presented Inai Kiara-Van Oord JV with an award for their commitment and contribution in achieving 1 million safe man hours without long term injuries. This result was achieved at the construction of a hydrocarbon storage and distribution project at Tanjung Bin in Malaysia. The project involves dredging, shore protection and soil improvement works. In total some 3,900,000 m3 of sand were dredged and 65,000 tonnes of stone placed.
ATB CEO Eric Arnold commended Van Oord for their contribution for setting the precedence in safety and health performance for all subsequent scopes of work by third companies. The project was successfully completed on 3 March 2011.
