The position
For the family holding of Van Oord we are looking for a Financial Administrative Assistant. 

For the position of Financial Administrative Assistant you will be working in a small team of two secretaries with very varied tasks. It is important that you are pro-active and that you always challenge yourself and colleagues to work more efficient. The intensity of the work fluctuates regularly due to the dynamic work environment of the organization. You have to be flexible, because sometimes you are expected to be present during a meeting held outside office hours or at an evening event. The position is for minimum 32 and maximum 40 hour a week (to be filled in mutual consultation). 

Your responsibilities
As a financial administrative assistant you are responsible for specific financial administration, like:

  • Processing mutations and declarations;
  • Making invoices;
  • Preparing payments;
  • Processing project administration;
  • Preparing financial overviews and update various data bases. 

We expect that you can handle (very) confidential information tactfully and with integrity. 

Besides the above, you send e-mails, letters and process the mail, prepare meeting documents for dispatch and order flowers and books. Futhermore you are responsible for the preparation of meetings and arranging meeting rooms and you organize events and trips. 

Job requirements

As a Financial Administrative Assistant you are involved in the most common activities and able to create added value for the team. You have experience and good knowledge of all features of Office 365 and know how to translate this to your own work and the work of the rest of the team, so that the features are used optimally and to the max. Furthermore, you:   

  • Have a completed HBO education (Accountancy of SPD Business Administration has a preference) and you are good with numbers; 
  • Have at least 10 years of work experience in a similar role in an international organisation; 
  • Enjoy working in a close team; 
  • Advise your supervisor about administrative processes and how to improve them;  
  • Have good command of the Dutch and English language (spoken and written, your motivational letter has to be written in Dutch).
