From the Dutch Delta Works to the Palm shaped islands in Dubai and to vast offshore wind farms, we build landmarks all around the world that protect us against floods and that contribute to sustainable development of society To shoulder the burden for our clients, we also regularly take responsibility for the entire project life cycle, from design to completion and maintenance. With this increased responsibility, risk management becomes only more important in order to ensure the successful completion of the works. As a risk engineer, you will facilitate the risk management process - identify, prioritize and manage potential risks - in both the tender and realisation phase. This process is complemented by conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses (through Monte Carlo simulations). You will also document and keep track of the status and implementation of the necessary risk response actions. Last but not least, you make sure risk management remains high on the agenda and is spread in the organisation. This is an exciting but above all responsible role, in which your knowledge and ingenuity will be called on from Rotterdam to Singapore!
- Thanks to your proactive approach, problem-solving capacity, curious attitude and perseverance, you make a constructive and valued contribution to projects and to ongoing development of the team and department. Your profile:
- at least a Bachelor's degree, in civil engineering, engineering management, economics (or similar)
- three years of experience in risk management, including Monte Carlo simulations
- excellent communication skills, in English
- ability to work well in a high-pressure environment and against deadlines
- focused on results and comfortable working with numbers
- decisive, creative and proactive
- knowledge of @RISK
- experience in writing EMVI / MEAT plans is a definite advantage.
