The position
Are you a passionate civil engineer, and do you also want Lely’s heritage to live on long into the future? Do you want to help safeguard Lely's heritage for decades to come? 32 kilometres of dyke reinforcements and a new motorway. Sluices and pumping stations that can discharge 235 m3 of water every second. Innovative concrete elements, a solar farm and the cutting for a unique fish migration river. These are all part of the renewal of the Afsluitdijk, a project for which we will be pulling out all the stops in terms of Marine ingenuity over the coming years. Your responsibilities
You will work on location as the eyes and ears of Van Oord. From project plan preparation to the enforcement of working safely, you and your team, together with local partners and colleagues from the Rotterdam head office, will realize prestigious dredging projects and often spectacular water works. The position is as challenging as it is responsible.

Job requirements
You are a result-oriented engineer capable of assessing the feasibility of a project plan as effortlessly as managing your team members in (sub)projects. You also have:
• a higher vocational education in Civil Engineering, preferably VOL VCA.
• at least 4 years’ working experience in (water)engineering projects.
• well-developed social skills and reporting skills.
