As Team leader Projectsupport, you are responsible for the department Projectsupport of the Business Unit Netherlands. You will guide a team of circa 25 to 30 specialists including Project Engineers/Work Preparators, Environmental Managers, and Permit Specialists, who will be deployed on projects all across the Netherlands. You will be reporting to the Director Netherlands.

Project Engineers/Work Preparators, Environmental Managers, and Permit Specialists will be reporting to you. It is your task to make sure that these people are most effectively deployed by putting them to work at the right projects and tenders, ensuring their personal and professional development, implementing the right guidelines and information, and by keeping a keen eye on quality and quantity. You are aware of the importance of coaching and team development, and you use a personal approach when working with the team in order to create an environment in which everyone is happy to work and can do so efficiently. This also requires you acquire more knowledge and sharing within your team by using Best Practices and quarterly gatherings of the whole department. You are responsible for monitoring and streamlining the department requirements and overarching processes. Also, you make sure that information, guidelines, and templates are in line with changes that occur within the organisation, assuring a ‘one way of working’ approach. Communication is of paramount importance because you function as the linking pin between your colleagues from Project support and other departments.
You are a driven people manager with good communication skills and the ability to support your team in its development and their performance . You do all this while putting safety first for your team and everyone around you. Furthermore, you have:
- Bachelor or Master degree
- Experience as a team lead with (work)preparation of Dutch projects.
- Broad experience in the Civil Engineering and knowledge of wet and dry contracts.
- Knowledge of or affinity with quality- and project management systems, the management system of VO, SCB, experience with digital tools (such as Relatics, Sharepoint), relevant development in the latest trends.
- A focus on safety and Safety Leadership.
