The position

Are you an enthusiastic civil engineer and would you like to ensure that Lely’s heritage is secured for many decades? Do you want to help safeguard Lely's heritage for decades to come?
32 kilometres of dyke reinforcements and a new motorway. Sluices and pumping stations that can discharge 235 m3 of water every second. Innovative concrete elements, a solar farm and the cutting for a unique fish migration river. These are all part of the renewal of the Afsluitdijk, a project for which we will be pulling out all the stops in terms of Marine ingenuity over the coming years. Interested? Your responsibilities
You will be responsible for the entire Afsluitdijk project, from design to management. We will entrust you with a part of the daily operations, the contractual responsibilities and the managing of the sub-contractors. You will monitor and ensure that everything is going according to the planning,  by making adjustments when required and ensuring that everyone, from your project manager to the teams at the head office, are always informed of the status of the project. An exciting position whereby your work place is one of the world’s most cosmic projects and where all your knowledge and resourcefulness will be called upon.

Job requirements
You know everything about national contracting and civil hydraulic engineering. You are a result minded engineer who seldom or never loses sight of the general overview and who remains outwardly calm. Furthermore, you have:

  • at least a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a comparable degree
  • at least 5 years’ experience in a project environment
  • excellent social skills and reporting skills
