Rotterdam, 28 August 2014 – On 5, 6 and 7 September 2014 Van Oord is present with a stand and ship at the 37th World Port Days in Rotterdam. This year the trailing suction hopper dredger HAM 317 will be moored alongside the Parkkade. HAM 317 has a length of nearly 100 metres and is accessible to the public during opening times of the World Port Days. Opposite of the HAM 317, our team is available to show you around in our stand. Here, we display a vessel model of the Aeolus, the first transport and installation vessel for the construction of offshore wind farms. To enjoy a real maritime experience, you will also be able to enjoy the performance of various shanty choirs (singing seasongs and shanty’s). Visitors can contribute to the theme ‘A colourful port’ by helping with the colourizing of a large colouring.
