Van Oord: ‘PortXL provides knowledge and energy’

Rotterdam, the Netherlands, 1 July 2016 - In a period of 3 months, 12 start-up teams participated in the accelerator programme PortXL in the port of Rotterdam. The partners in PortXL, including Van Oord, deployed almost 200 mentors to convert the ideas of these international start-up teams into products that fulfil market needs. Van Oord brought in several engineers with expert knowledge about projects and vessels to act as mentors. All start-ups declared to stay in Rotterdam which further strengthens the maritime cluster in the port.
