Starting entrepreneurs pitch their way to a place on the PortXL programme

Rotterdam, the Netherlands, 13 February 2020 - The moment of truth arrived this week for the participants in the PortXL innovation programme. Forty starting entrepreneurs took their place on stage during the selection days. In one minute they pitched their business plan to gain a place on the programme.

For the fifth year in a row, Van Oord and PortXL are joining forces in the search for starters with an innovative product or service for the maritime sector. During the selection days on 11 and 12 February, the names of participants in the 2020 programme were announced. Over the next hundred days the start-ups and scale-ups will receive intensive guidance to get their plans off the ground and further develop their ambitions.

This year, Van Oord professionals will once again be helping these entrepreneurs prepare for the market. Curious to know who has been admitted to the programme? Meet the winners and their innovative plans.

The participants show a lot of enthusiasm and energy. These entrepreneurs draw attention to new ideas that broaden Van Oord's horizons. That is precisely the strength of the collaboration with PortXL: looking beyond our own working area.
